It is easy to make your own low carb vegetarian protein bars. There are three main ingredients in a protein bar. Once you make the basic protein bar it is easy to add ingredients like grains, nuts, dried fruit and even chocolate. These vegetarian protein bars taste great and are super healthy. The bars can even be made vegan by adding soy protein powder rather than weigh.
1/2 cup oat flour
1 tbsp all purpose flower
1/2 cup nut butter
1/2 cup protein powder
1/4 tsp vanilla
How to prepare the vegetarian protein bars:
The first step in preparing vegetarian protein bars is to combine the oat flour with the nut butter in a food processor. Next add the vanilla and egg and process until a ball is formed. Now roll the ball out on tinfoil to about 1/2 inch thick. At this point you ca add crushed, nuts, granola, dried fruit, chocolate ect. Sprinkle chopped ingredients over the dough and lightly roll it into the dough with a rolling pin. Finally, flip the dough over and repeat the process and place foil and dough on a baking sheet.
